After gaining worldwide recognition with RRR, director SS Rajamouli became a familiar name in global cinema circles.
Even Hollywood icons like James Cameron praised his work and encouraged him to explore Hollywood collaborations.
Soon after, Rajamouli announced his next: the ambitious globetrotting adventure ‘GlobeTrotter’, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra.
With the title reveal and first glimpse scheduled for November 15 at Ramoji Film City, rumors began circulating that a major Hollywood studio might officially partner with Rajamouli for the film.
However, reliable sources have clarified that no Hollywood studio is involved.
Instead, Rajamouli has entrusted the global distribution and marketing rights to New York-based Variance Films, the same company that successfully handled RRR’s U.S. release and Oscar campaign.
Variance Films will oversee the worldwide distribution and promotions of GlobeTrotter, ensuring the film reaches global audiences — but without any studio tie-up.
In GlobeTrotter, Mahesh Babu plays a wandering adventurer, while Priyanka Chopra stars as the female lead. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays a wheelchair-bound antagonist.
