Actor Mrunal Thakur has opened up about her long journey toward self-acceptance, revealing that she struggled with insecurity and low confidence for many years, even after finding success in the film industry.
Speaking at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein in Mumbai, Mrunal said her childhood experiences had a lasting impact on her confidence.
“I changed schools very often, and that brought a lot of insecurities. I felt underconfident for a long time,” she shared.
The actor added that it took her years to accept herself fully.
“There was so much pressure around looking perfect, looking a certain way, and having a particular kind of body. I realised very late that I am beautiful the way I am,” she said.
Embracing her imperfections, Mrunal concluded on a positive note, saying she now believes she is “perfectly imperfect” and has learned to love herself just the way she is.
