Mirai wrapped up its first week on a high, grossing over ₹100 crore worldwide and joining the $2 million club in North America.
However, collections have dipped over the last two days, making the upcoming weekend critical for its overall box office performance.
The film has only a short window to maximize its earnings, as Pawan Kalyan’s OG is set to storm theaters from September 24.
In North America too, OG is expected to dominate, leaving Mirai with just six more days to rake in big numbers.
While Teja Sajja has already cemented his place as a bankable star with Mirai’s success, the film’s second-weekend performance will decide whether it can match the blockbuster grosses of Hanu Man or settle for a more modest run.
