KTR talking through his hat to enthuse cadre!

KTR talking through his hat to enthuse cadre!

For the last few days, Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president and former Telangana minister K T Rama Rao has been making strange statements, which are only reflecting the frustration of losing power to the Congress in the recent assembly elections.

No doubt, as an opposition party leader, KTR is bound to target the ruling party and expose it for not implementing the promises made during the elections.

Nobody would question him for criticising the Congress government in general and chief minister A Revanth Reddy in particular.

But KTR is giving an impression that the people have done a big mistake by voting for the Congress and are repenting for defeating KCR.

Instead of doing right introspection as to why the people have voted out the BRS, he is saying his party has lost power only because the people were carried away by the false promises of the Congress.

The BRS leaders and cadre are demoralised and it is the duty of KTR to boost up their morale. But it does not mean he should forget the ground reality.

At a meeting on Wednesday, KTR said very soon, KCR will become the chief minister again, as the present Congress government will collapse.

It clearly shows KTR is talking through his hat. How can KCR become the chief minister again? The only way is by pulling down the Revanth Reddy government. How does it happen?

The BRS has to attract not less than 21 Congress MLAs into it, so to reach the absolute majority mark in the assembly.

For that, the BRS has to engineer a major coup within the Congress with the support of the AIMIM or the BJP government at the Centre. Is it practically possible?

Even the BRS leaders who are attending KTR’s meetings themselves are of the view that he is overstepping his limit.

“Such a talk of pulling down the Revanth government will do more damage than good for the BRS in the coming elections. The people will not appreciate such a move. Such statements might cause further loss to the party in the coming Lok Sabha elections,” a BRS leader said.
