IT Notices To Naidu, No Ties With BJP?

IT Notices To Naidu, No Ties With BJP?

The Income Tax department has served notices to TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu, requesting an explanation for unaccounted funds worth Rs 118 crore.

This marks the second notice issued to him by IT officials in recent times.

The notice was delivered shortly after Naidu's meeting with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during his recent visit to Delhi.

It is alleged that Naidu received a kickback of Rs 118 crore from a private contracting company during his tenure as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2017-18.

This notice comes as a shock to the TDP's rank and file, who were hoping for support from the BJP in the 2024 general election.

Now, the responsibility falls on Naidu to respond to the questions raised by netizens regarding the IT notice.

Naidu cannot remain silent or evade a response, as this issue could potentially become a focal point for the YSR Congress in the upcoming election.

The questions he needs to address include whether he received the money as a kickback and whether he attempted to evade income tax payments.

If he did receive kickbacks, there is curiosity about the total amount he received from various companies during his term.

Ignoring these questions could come at a high cost for Naidu as he gears up for the next round of elections, as netizens are unlikely to let the matter rest.
