Is 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' Using Sympathy Card For Buzz?

There has been talk that single-screen theatres might shut down from June 1st due to a dispute between producers and exhibitors. But now, some groups are looking at this issue from a different angle.

Since Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is set to release on June 12th, certain Jana Sena supporters feel this theatre strike could be a planned move to harm the film.

The twist is that Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh has called for an investigation to find out if someone is intentionally trying to create problems for Hari Hara Veera Mallu through this theatre strike.

Isn’t that a clear misuse of power? How can the government order an investigation in the interest of just one film?

Many people believe that this entire situation is being used to create buzz around Hari Hara Veera Mallu, as there has been very little hype so far.

By making it seem like someone is blocking Pawan Kalyan’s film, they think it will attract more attention.

The irony is that Pawan Kalyan is now part of the government. Yet playing the victim card feels strange and unnecessary.
