Small Films Create Big Curiosity at Box Office

Small Films Create Big Curiosity at Box Office

Leaving the result aside, some small films create good interest even before release. It becomes more exciting when such films release at the same time. This weekend, a similar situation is seen at the box office.

This weekend, Thimmarajupalli TV, Papam Prathap, and Bad Boy Karthik are releasing in theatres. Among them, Bad Boy Karthik has some face value as it stars Naga Shaurya. But interestingly, the other two small films are getting more buzz than this one.

Coming to Thimmarajupalli TV, the film is produced by Kiran Abbavaram. Around 40 newcomers have acted in it. Directed by Muniraju under the ‘K’ Productions banner, it is a very small film. However, Abbavaram says it will set a benchmark in this category.

Next is Papam Prathap. Actor Thiruveer already has a good image for selecting strong stories, and that itself is the biggest promotion for this film. The trailer has also impressed the audience. Unlike his earlier films, this one has more familiar faces, which is another plus. The promotions are strong, especially with the hashtag Papam Pratap trending widely.

Compared to these, Bad Boy Karthik, though a slightly bigger film, is coming with less buzz. Starring Naga Shaurya, the trailer has a full action look. Because of that, it currently feels a bit routine compared to the other films. It remains to be seen how it performs after release.

Overall, this weekend will see three films from different genres hitting the screens. Though a couple of other small films are also releasing, most of the attention is on these three.
