I Got Immersed In The Role, Every Day I Was Shooting For Naarappa: Venky

In his decades of career, Venkatesh didn’t stick to one or other particular genre and he even did many remakes of other languages.

His next release Naarappa is also a remake of Tamil blockbuster Asuran that starred Dhanush. Directed by Sreekanth Addala under Suresh Productions and V Creations, the film marks first direct OTT release for Venkatesh.

Venkatesh says he is the person who’s not bound by the time.

“Sometimes, you just have to take what it comes. As an actor, I put in my sincere efforts. It’s not just about OTT, in my entire film career, I never bothered about anything. I accept whatever is there. I just mind my own business.”

Several fans expressed their discontent of the film’s OTT release.

Venkatesh says, “I know that few fans are not happy with it. I wholeheartedly apologize to them. My well-wishers and fans have always understood my style of functioning in the industry right from the beginning.”

The senior actor thanks Dhanush for giving such a wonderful film.

“Sometimes, I may not get the opportunity to try different subjects here and when I watch films like these, I grab the opportunity to do them. It is not an ordinary thing to attempt a remake. It’s indeed a big challenge to do remakes.

Venkatesh informs he got immersed in the role completely. “I wore the same attire for almost 50 days and was in the same getup for all the days I was shooting for the film.”

Venky says he got exhausted doing action part. “I’ve done many action films, but I’ve exhausted doing the action in this film. The action and emotions in the film are completely real.”

The actor says it was challenging for his director Sreekanth Addala to do remake of the raw and rustic film. He also appreciated his co-star Priyamani and others for doing wonderful job.

Naarappa will be premiered on 20th July on Amazon Prime. Let’s wait and see whether it will live up to the expectations as the trailer loaded with action and emotions had set bar high on the movie.
