Health Secretary On Vaccine Shot And Vivek's Death

The pandemic pandemonium is leaving the public with several doubts, fears and suspicions.

While Covid Vaccination is understood as the way out from the dangers associated with Coronavirus infection, some incidents are creating confusion and indecisiveness.

The latest is the death of popular Tamil movie actor Vivek who got vaccinated just a day before he succumbed to heart attack.

Many are expressing their suspicion on social media that the actor's death is nothing but the side effect of the vaccine.

Mansoor Ali Khan, another Tamil actor has lambasted the system and questioned why Vivek has to be vaccinated in the first place. He expressed that Corona Vaccine is the reason for his heart attack.

To clear the panic among the public, the Health Secretary Radhakrishnan explained to the media, “This came as a shock for us. He had earlier tested negative for COVID-19. This is a temporal association. He had a 100% block in the LAD and has been treated for it now. A 100% block does not happen in a day. On Thursday, 860 persons had taken the Covaxin shot at the same hospital [as Vivek]... Anaphylactic reaction following the vaccine occurs in 15 to 30 minutes for which we always keep a crash cart ready".

Actor Vivek has taken the Corona Vaccine shot on 15th April in the presence of the media to bring awareness among the public.

He said that one should take either Covishied or Covaxin and there is nothing to fear about it. He also said that other medicinal remedies are only next to Vaccine in the matter of getting protection against the virus.

On the very next day he suffered a heart attack and was brought to hospital in an unconscious state. He was kept on ECMO and the treatment was given. Finally he breathed his last on the morning of 17th April.
