The pre-release event of Hanu-Man was celebrated in a grand manner in the presence of the film’s entire team and with megastar Chiranjeevi gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
Teja Sajja performed Chiranjeevi’s iconic step Veena on stage. He thanked Chiranjeevi for gracing the event.
“In Itihaasas, Hanuman came to help Lord Sri Ram. For our film Hanu-Man, Lord Sri Ram sent Chiranjeevi as Hanuman for us. Chiranjeevi is Cinema Pedda. He is the one who appreciates when someone attains success and consoles when someone fails in their attempt. After my parents, Chiranjeevi is the one who I need to thank. He treated me like his family member. I’m here today because of him.
Prasanth Varma is A to Z for the movie. I’m forever thankful to him. Prasanth wanted to see me as a hero. But he made me a superhero with this movie. While it’s Rajamouli for Ram Charan, Puri Jagannadh for Ravi Teja, it’s Prasanth Varma for this Teja. While I’m Utsava Vigraham, he is the Moola Virat. The producer believed the movie more than us.
Some other movies are coming for this Sankranthi. I acted in Mahesh Babu's, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh’s movies. I wish all the movies would do well, including Hanu-Man. I played a helpless underdog, and my situation is the same now. Hanu-Man is a superhero movie that will have all the entertaining elements.”
Prasanth Varma thanked his producer Niranjan Reddy for unparalleled support. He revealed how tough it was to grab an opportunity to direct, then make a movie and release it.
“It took 12 years for me to become a director. Thanks to Teja for helping me in this journey. There is a scene in the movie where someone says for those who stand by Dharma, Hanuman is always there for them. So, it’s Chiranjeevi garu who came to support our movie like Hanuman. It is a socio-fantasy film. The movie is about how a normal person like us fight evil forces when he gets superpowers.”
Chiranjeevi disclosed four reasons for him to grace the occasion- Lord Hanuman, Teja Sajja, the promising content, and also the push the movie needed at this time. He then revealed the incidents in his life which made him become a great devotee of Hanuman.
“I was happy to know that the title was taken from my words during an event on Aha. I don’t think there is any bigger superstar than Hanuman. I loved every promotional material. I really liked Prasanth Varma’s vision. Teja’s hard work will be paid off. Sankranthi can accommodate any number of movies. If the content is good, theatres and other factors are not a big issue. When Dil Raju released Satamanam Bhavathi during Sankranthi along with my film and Balakrishna’s movie, he told me one thing, although it’s a small movie it will do well. The movie despite heavy competition became successful. His words will come true in Hanu-Man’s case as well.”
Chiranjeevi, on behalf of the makers of Hanu-Man announced that Re 5 will be donated from each ticket of the movie for Ram Mandir.
