Sujana Rao dares to direct an anthology film with well-known artists in her very first film ‘Gamanam’. Pawan Kalyan has unveiled the film’s trailer.
It’s about four people and their three intriguing stories. Shriya Saran plays a mute married woman whose husband leaves her behind because of her disability. She has a responsibility to take of her kid.
Ali and Zara played by Shiva Kandukuri and Priyanka Jawalkar respectively are in love but in their religion, love marriage is not acceptable. Simultaneously Ali aspires to be a cricketer who wants to make it to team India while Zara wants Ali to settle down in life with her.
The last but not least is about a kid who is born and brought up in slums and doesn’t even know what is birthday.
Talented beauty Nithya Menen appears in a brief role as Shailaputra Devi who is renowned singer in the movie. What is the connection of Nithya with these three tales is not revealed.
‘Gamanam’ is set against the backdrop of floods in the city of Hyderabad and what has destiny in store of these stories is the plot.
Gnana Shekar VS’s camera work is praiseworthy and Maestro Ilaiyaraja lifts the visuals with his BGM.
