Director Covers His Flop With Pandemic

Sometimes, the covering statements bring disrespect rather than failure.

'83', the re-creation of 1983's Indian World Cup saga on the big screen was released amidst huge expectations and many assumed that it would pull the attention of the cricket lovers at least.

But surprisingly, everything right from the openings has been dull and finally the film is declared as the biggest disaster of all time on par with the yesteryears' films like Velvet, Drona etc.

But the director of the film Kabir Khan says that the film has become a victim of the pandemic. On the other hand the critics and the regular movie goers say that the film lacked the required content that could pull the attention of the audience and so failed at the box office.

If Kabir Khan's statement is true, then how could Spiderman, Pushpa or Suryavamshi mint money amidst the pandemic in the same season?

The Hindi version of Pushpa is still doing its business in many parts of Northern India. At this juncture the statement by Kabir Khan has become a point to laugh at, rather than showing sympathy.
