Dacoit and Toxic Postponed Indefinitely

While an official announcement is still awaited, the industry is abuzz with confirmation that Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit and Yash’s Toxic have both been postponed.

Neither film will now release in March as previously planned.

Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit, which has already faced multiple postponements, has once again moved out of its release slot.

The film will not arrive on March 19, as the makers reportedly felt it would be difficult to compete with the pan-India release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, especially in the Hindi market. A new release date is yet to be finalized.

On the other hand, the makers of Toxic had earlier maintained that the film would stick to its March 19 release regardless of competition.

They were confident that the arrival of Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to the mega blockbuster Dhurandhar, would not impact their plans. However, the scenario has now changed.

Dhurandhar not only shattered box office records but also witnessed a massive surge in popularity after its Netflix premiere, significantly amplifying expectations for Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

In this backdrop, distributors reportedly informed Kannada superstar Yash that Toxic would struggle to secure sufficient screens in North America and other South Indian markets.

As a result, the film has been pushed, with a new release date expected to be announced soon.
