Pawan Kalyan’s OG is among his most-hyped films in recent years. With proper planning, the film could have set massive records during its North American premieres, given the craze surrounding it.
However, the buzz has turned into controversy due to two key issues.
First, a clash between a distributor and certain theater chains in Canada disrupted listings there. While that doesn’t significantly impact the film’s overall business, the bigger concern lies in content delivery.
Despite being in production for over two years, the makers failed to upload the complete film to digital servers on time.
As of now, only half of the film has been uploaded to the USA servers, with the remainder expected in a few hours. This delay has prevented many shows from being scheduled or listed.
With demand surging for additional screens across North America, distributors are left in confusion over the late content delivery.
Although shows are expected to pick up once the full film is uploaded, this incident once again highlights the unprofessional approach of some Telugu filmmakers in overseas distribution, even in today’s digital age.
