Dhanush’s latest flick Captain Miller was released in all south Indian languages during Sankranthi, except for Telugu.
They postponed the Telugu version, as it was tough to get theatres with a huge competition with four straight Telugu movies arriving for the festival.
Nonetheless, Captain Miller received extremely positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The movie had the career best opening for Dhanush in Kerala, Karnataka and overseas. It raked in huge openings in Tamil.
The makers who are confident that the movie will perform well in Telugu have announced to hold early morning premiere shows on January 25th in Telugu states.
Dhanush’s last movie Sir was a commercial hit in Telugu. In fact, the Telugu version collected bigger numbers than the Tamil.
The presence of Telugu hero Sundeep Kishan is another favorable factor, other than the special appearance of Shiva Rajkumar who was part of the recent blockbuster Jailer.
The Telugu version trailer got encouraging reports, increasing prospects for the movie directed by Arun Mutheswaran.
Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Captain Miller is the most expensive movie for Dhanush.
Asian Multiplexes Pvt Ltd and Suresh Productions plan a big release for the film in Telugu states.
