Trolling the mega-film has now entered a new phase, driven by a section of anti-fans.
Balayya fans believe that Akhanda 2 failed not because of weak content, but due to heavy trolling by anti–Balakrishna groups.
Adding to their disappointment was Pawan Kalyan not supporting the film through any statement or tweet, despite projecting himself as a Sanatana Dharma supporter.
As a result, the anger of Balayya fans is now clearly shifting toward the festival release Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Chiranjeevi. The anger they have on Pawan Kalyan is pointed to Chiranjeevi's immediate release.
Several images and posts are being circulated on social media claiming that Chiranjeevi fans are being given gifts and that the film is being aggressively promoted.
While it is common for stars to pamper their fans, anti-Mega groups have gone a step further by spreading fake posts accusing the media groups of managing the film.
It is not just Balayya fans. A section of YCP supporters is also unhappy with Chiranjeevi due to past political reasons. They hold resentment against him due to his silence when Pawan accused Jagan of insulting Chiranjeevi before the elections.
Although Chiranjeevi later clarified that he was not insulted, the response came too late. His delayed stand deepened the resentment and left YCP supporters prepared to retaliate or sternly keep away from supporting the film.
Within the industry, there is a strong belief that without solid content, surviving this level of trolling is impossible.
With pressure coming from all sides, the only real solution is clear. Director Anil Ravipudi must deliver content that exceeds expectations.
