Success in cinema can mean different things to different people. For some, even a flop at the box office might feel like success depending on their perspective.
But what does success mean to actress Mrunal Thakur?
According to her, success is not about how much money a film makes or what budget it is made on.
“For me, success is whether I have given my best performance or not. That alone counts as success in my eyes.”
Mrunal explains that even if a film fails commercially, she considers it a success as long as her acting is appreciated.
If success is measured only in terms of money, it will keep changing, she says, stressing that true success must be seen from the heart.
She adds that as long as her career continues without people remarking that she “didn’t act well” in a particular film, that is more than enough for her.
“If the audience ever feels ‘we can’t bear watching her on screen,’ then that means I have failed,” Mrunal admits.
At present, the actress is working on her upcoming film Dacoit.
