The previous release of megastar Chiranjeevi, "Waltair Veerayya," garnered $679k from premiere shows and ultimately accumulated over $2 million in gross earnings.
Given Chiranjeevi's success with that film, one would naturally expect his upcoming movie "Bholaa Shankar" to perform well.
However, "Bholaa Shankar" managed to secure only $303k from its premiere shows, which is half of what "Waltair Veerayya" achieved on its opening day. Moreover, "Bholaa Shankar" only garnered $82k on its first day, resulting in a total of $385k.
Based on the current trend, it seems unlikely that the film will surpass the $600k mark during its debut weekend.
And by the end of its theatrical run, it's unlikely to even reach the $1 million milestone.
In comparison, "Acharya," one of Chiranjeevi's recent disappointments, grossed $985k throughout its entire run.
"Bholaa Shankar" appears to be turning out as an even bigger box office failure than "Acharya."
