'The Kashmir Files' is the film that shook the nation for weeks together, Though released only in Hindi, the film did big business even in down South and thanks to its strong content.
Made in a modest Rs 15 Cr budget, the film garnered a gross collection of more than 300 Cr. Many assumed that the film would shake the nation if released on OTT platforms in multiple regional languages.
Finally the film has come up on Zee5. Surprisingly the reports say that the majority of the audience are closing down the film after watching for 20 minutes.
It is true that the film takes some time to arrest the audience. It possesses no commercial elements but runs in the mode of a documentary.
The attention span required for this film happens only in theaters but not on personal screens. That's the reason the film couldn't entice the audience on OTT platform
Much to the surprise of many, the Telugu version of this film is not pulling any traction. In fact, the lack of publicity from the side of Zee 5 also can be attributed to this poor response.
As of now, the film that was a big hit at theaters proved a flop on OTT.
