Much before the pan-India craze, Allu Arjun had plans of entering the Tamil film industry. He tried to collaborate with top Tamil filmmakers like AR Murugadoss. Finally, he went with Lingusamy and launched the film in a big way in Chennai.
After the big launch, N Lingusamy’s film with Allu Arjun got shelved due to financial issues and creative differences. Allu Arjun was not sure about the script. So, he backed out.
It was then that Lingusamy approached other Telugu stars and made rounds. He finally convinced Ram Pothineni to act in his direction. Thus, “The Warriorr” happened.
While Ram’s judgment proved to be wrong, Allu Arjun made the right decision. “The Warriorr” turned out to be a disaster. Ram’s calculations to capture the Tamil market didn’t work out.
