Actor Varun Dhawan addressed allegations of inappropriate behavior with female co-stars, including Kiara Advani and Alia Bhatt, after videos of him kissing Kiara’s cheek during a photoshoot and touching Alia’s belly at a live event sparked criticism.
In an interview, Varun clarified that the kiss with Kiara was pre-planned for a digital cover, despite her appearing surprised.
He praised her acting skills, insisting the moment was scripted. However, Varun admitted that playfully attempting to push Kiara into a pool during a promotional event for JugJugg Jeeyo was unplanned but done in good humor.
Regarding Alia, he stated the belly-touching incident was also unplanned and done in a friendly, lighthearted manner, emphasizing his close bond with her since their debut in Student of the Year.
Varun defended his playful nature, saying he interacts similarly with male co-stars. His upcoming film, Baby John, is set to release on Christmas.
