Director Sukumar now joins the league of Trivikram and Koratala Siva who are charging more than Rs 15 Cr for each film.
While Koratala Siva also got profit share along with remuneration in recently released 'Bharat Ane Nenu', Trivikram is not doing this.
Post the massive success of 'Rangasthalam', Sukumar too has hiked remuneration and the production house happily agreed to pay the price he demanded.
Sources reveal that the amount will be Rs 15 Cr plus taxes, which is almost 60 per cent increase from the amount that he got for his previous movie.
Only after the remuneration is locked, the production house declared that Mahesh Babu's 26th film will be directed by Sukumar in an official statement.
The production house made huge profits on Sukumar's "Rangasthlam" despite the film crossing the budget limits.
Some distributors paid less amount than agreed a day before its release. However, post-release, 'Rangasthalam' brought huge profits.
So, they are happily paying him huge remuneration.
