War 2 Crash Kills NTR's Agent Vikram Film?

War 2 Crash Kills NTR's Agent Vikram Film?

The disappointing box office run of War 2 has rattled Yash Raj Films (YRF), casting doubt on its ambitious Spy Universe plans.

The Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR starrer, hyped as a mega event, opened decently but fizzled out quickly, struggling to touch ₹300 crore worldwide.

According to Bollywood Hungama, YRF has now shelved plans for a standalone film centered on Jr NTR’s character, Agent Vikram.

“YRF had ambitious plans to cash in on NTR’s Pan-India appeal with a spin-off. The team was already developing the project, but War 2’s failure stalled everything,” a source revealed.

Industry buzz suggests Aditya Chopra has personally decided to drop the film and instead rework the future of the Spy Universe.

He reportedly spoke directly with Jr NTR, who agreed with the decision and parted ways with the banner on amicable terms.

“Agent Vikram film is no longer feasible, and Adi conveyed this to NTR. The Man of Masses agreed and exited the project on a positive note,” the source added.

The cancellation is significant because the Agent Vikram spin-off was one of the key conditions for NTR signing on to War 2.

War 2’s Struggles & YRF’s Next Moves

Despite massive expectations, War 2 saw a steep drop after its initial run. By Day 12, it collected just ₹1.01 crore, with India net earnings at ₹223.01 crore.

The film is expected to drop on Netflix within six to eight weeks, though no official OTT date has been confirmed.

Meanwhile, YRF is moving ahead with Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, slated for Christmas 2025.

With Agent Vikram off the table, the big question is how Aditya Chopra will reset the Spy Universe after this high-profile stumble.
