Sye Raa hasn't been having a smooth flow since it was announced. After initial hiccups over cast and title, the film has gone on to the sets. But the first major hitch has come in the form of the film's cinematographer.
The producer of megastar's prestigious project Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and director Surender Reddy have roped in well-known cinematographer Ravi Varman for the Rs 200 project.
Ravi Varman is best known for his works in Hindi films like Barfi, Goliyon Ki Raasleela and recently released Jagga Jasoos along with various other films in Tamil and Malayalam.
Like the rest of the cast and crew, his name was announced in a flashy manner alongside other hi-profile technicians like music director AR Rahman.
So, the latest from the sets of Sye Raa is that Ravi Varman has backed out of the project for reasons best known to him. Constant delays in the film's shooting could be one of the reasons. Now, the team is on the lookout for another top cameraman.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a period film about a patriotic Indian king from the Renadu region (now in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh), who revolted against the British empire.
