Wake Up Bunny, Wake Up!

Wake Up Bunny, Wake Up!

The much-hyped films of Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun – “Sarileru Neekevvaruaru” and “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo” – are getting ready for release in a gap of one day. Both the films have succeeded in generating a tremendous buzz in the film circles.

But when it comes to publicity, there is a glaring difference between the two. So far, Allu Arjun has not appeared before the media, nor has he spoken to any media person about the film.

There is not even a group interview of his team to the media nor is there any solo interview by any of his team members. There is not even a media event by them.

On the other hand, Mahesh and his film director Anil Ravipudi are storming the media with one interview after the other in various combinations, generating a huge curiosity among the audiences.

In this aspect, Bunny’s personal digital team seems have failed to catch up with the competitors miserably. The team doesn’t appear to have proper planning.

Though the film is slated for release on January 12, Bunny has not got into action even till afternoon of Thursday.

When some media people made enquiries on Thursday afternoon, the reply they have got was that Bunny has not got up from his slumber and may be, he would start giving interviews after he got up.

Another issue about “Ala Vaikuntapuramulo” is that any decision about the film has to be taken by director Trivikram. This problem does not arise with Mahesh Babu. He has his own team, which is planning everything for the film and he simply follows the plan.

Initially, there were reports that Bunny was planning two more functions for his film – one in Visakhapatnam and another in Dubai. But it is now certain that none of them is working out.

The latest talk is that he would have a function at Visakhapatnam on January 17, five days after the release of the film. But who knows, what the decision would be after the release of the film.

Anyway, whatever buzz that “Ala Vaikuntapuramulo” has got so far was only from its songs and Bunny’s digital team has put in little efforts to hype the film. This will make it difficult for them to sustain publicity after the release of the film.

Bunny might be claiming that he has an army behind him, but it appears he is not able to check whether this army is really working for him or not.
