Dear Comrade may not have lived up to expectations and might as well go down as an average grosser at the box office.
But this film has put Vijay Deverakonda up there amongst the highest paid actors of Telugu Cinema.
According to sources, Vijay Deverakonda was paid Rs. 10 crore as remuneration for Dear Comrade.
Producers were happy to shell out big bucks to Vijay after witnessing the mega success of Geetha Govindam.
Later when Vijay was sceptical about completing the film, they had offered thirty percent share in the profits in addition to the promised remuneration.
Vijay took over the reins of Dear Comrade and decided to release it in four languages and also has taken care of promotional campaign.
The film has been a profitable one to its makers as the making cost was estimated to be around Rs. 30 crore including Vijay's remuneration.
Making costs were recovered through theatrical rights of all four languages and it fetched superb deals for digital and satellite rights too.
Hence, irrespective of its box office outcome, Dear Comrade will remain closer to Vijay's heart as it made him richer than ever.
