Nagarjuna's upcoming devotional flick Om Namo Venkatesaya directed by K. Raghavendra Rao has been making waves in the trade.
Business circles are expecting this film to recreate Annamayya kind of magic and buying the film for high prices all over.
The film has also fetched a whopping 12.5 crore for its satellite rights, as per reports. ETV bought the satellite rights of all versions of Om Namo Venkatesaya for a record breaking price. Not to mention it is also the highest ever for a Nagarjuna’s film!
Annamayya still draws huge TRP and that might be the reason for ETV to bid big for the satellite rights of ONV.
It has been a while since ETV bought the satellite rights of a popular film. ETV network stayed away from the competition as it was against their policies to shell out big bucks for the satellite rights.
ONV must have been an exception to it as they believe it could be another memorable classic like Annamayya.
