The corona crisis has made producers and stars to realize that the market for movies will shrink for another year or two. Cost-cutting is the only way forward.
The makers of “Acharya” are said to have decided to cut down the budget for the remaining portions.
Starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the title role, the movie has completed about 40 percent of its total shoot until now.
Director Koratala Siva has been sulking over the delay in production and now he will have to implement the cost-cutting as well.
“Acharya” is one of the first big budgeted movies to hit the screens in the next six months. So, the corona impact can easily be noticed in this movie’s revenue.
Considering this factor, it was Chiranjeevi who told the producers Niranjan Reddy and Ram Charan to think about cutting down the budget.
Kajal Aggarwal will soon join the shoot. She has been roped in to play as the female lead.
