Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma is busy working for a film based on the life of a Kannada gangster. Right at this stage, another episode of a Telugu gangster came into focus in the last one week – it is of Nayeemuddin, who had transformed from a Maoist into a mafia don.
Nayeem, who was killed in a police encounter, has become a hot topic and with every passing day, more and more spicy news is coming out about his activities – particularly, his links with former police bosses, present top cops and political leaders.
Many interesting issues have come to light – including his style of operation, land settlements, child trafficking, driving for miles together only to speak to his targets, using girls as human shields and his way of luring cops with lands and monthly booties. The entire Nayeem episode has turned out to be a big thriller of a mafia don.
