The remunerations of film heroes are rapidly increasing. This surge is attributed to the willingness and eagerness of producers to pay such substantial sums.
Over the past couple of years, hero remunerations have seen two-fold and three-fold increases.
The latest news from the world of Tollywood suggests that a young hero is demanding a remuneration of Rs 12 Crores to Rs 13 Crores. This hero's pay used to range between four to five crores.
After a gradual progression through one or two mediocre films, it reached eight crores. However, recently, one of his films became a hit.
Currently, there is speculation that his remuneration has been raised to 12 to 13 crores.
Presently, he has only one film in hand for which he is quoting this remuneration. If a film is to be made with such a high remuneration, the overall production cost also soars to Rs 50 Crores.
The hero should also consider how viable this will be for him in the long run.
