Nobody is facing bigger problem than the TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh. They are not in a position to believe that the party will survive in the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu any more. Lokesh Naidu's inefficiency has also kept the leadership of TDP in doldrums.
At this juncture, some TDP leaders are voicing out their opinion that it is the time to see the change in party leadership. Now Gorantla Bucchaiah Chowdary, who is known for his straight forward talk has also joined the chorus.
On the occasion of TDP Formation Day, Gorantla made it clear that the TDP needs the new leader. He appealed that every leader in TDP along with Jr NTR should strengthen the party.
These statements are now rising temperature in TDP groups.
It is known that Gorantla stood by the side of NTR initially, when he was dethroned by Chandrababu in 1996. He blasted Chandrababu so vehemently those days but later joined Chandrababu's side on power equations.
But Chandrababu maintained his vengeance by never giving him any Cabinet seat. Even Vundavalli Arun Kumar confirmed the same in a TV interview.
Now Gorantla seems to be against Chandrababu openly. Inside sources say that already a group is formed in TDP to pull out Chandrababu from the driver's seat.
Taking the name of Jr NTR openly is the point here. But Jr NTR knows that it is not right time to enter politics when Jagan's wind is blowing heavily.
He is in the idea of thinking about stepping into politics when Jagan's government starts facing anti incumbency in the second term.
So, until then TDP cannot find any natural oxygen to survive. It has to be kept on ventilator in Chandrababu's leadership.
