Charmee got a break in Tollywood with Krishna Vamsi's 'Sree Anjaneyam'. She became very close to Krishna Vamsi and was cast again in 'Chakram'. There were rumors in the industry regarding their relationship.
Although she never acted in any of his films again, Krishna Vamsi had her dub for the heroines in his movies. Later they drifted apart with Krishna Vamsi’s form declining and Charmee becoming very busy. Her next mentor till recently was Puri Jagannath.
She became partners with him and began to oversee all his operations. However, her overbearing attitude reportedly resulted in Puri parting ways with her and asking her not to come back into his life.
Charmee has now given an interview to the media in which she praised Krishna Vamsi to the skies.
“Krishna Vamsi has a great intellect. In my next life, I hope I am born with his intellect inserted in my head,” said Charmee. Now this is no ordinary flattery. Therefore, it gives rise to the suspicion that she is trying to get back in the good books of Vamsi.
