Producers like Dil Raju, Naga Vamsi, and Y Ravi Shankar are actively backing multiple projects, but not without challenges. Many films are overshooting budgets, while some projects are getting delayed, adding to the pressure.
Though they have not openly voiced their concerns, industry insiders say the burden is real. Shrinking OTT deals, reduced theatrical revenues, mounting production costs, and skyrocketing remuneration of stars and directors are making the business increasingly risky.
Despite these hurdles, leading producers are continuing to push forward with big-budget ventures to sustain their presence. On the other hand, some senior producers have already slowed down.
D Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions has largely stepped away from active production, while Sunil Narang is producing films only occasionally.
Now, another top producer, known for delivering some of the biggest pan-India hits, has reportedly decided to step away from film production.
His banner has worked with leading stars and top directors of the current generation, and notably, his last two films turned out to be massive blockbusters.
Despite this success, he has chosen to stay away from producing films, reportedly unwilling to take on further pressure in the current market conditions.
While there has been no official announcement, sources indicate that he will remain silent and keep a low profile for now.
This quiet decision reflects the growing strain within the industry, even for those at the very top.
