With the three new releases – Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, Mosagallu, and Sashi – bit the dust, the entertainer “Jathi Ratnalu” had good a run for the second weekend. But the film did meet the expectations in its second weekend.
“Jathi Ratnalu” had collected 800k dollars in its first week. Given such a dream run it had in the first week, it was expected that it would touch the $1 million mark in the second weekend itself. Plus, the USA distributors had roped in Naveen Polishetty to tour the cities and celebrate the $1 million mark in the second weekend.
While Naveen Polishetty received a grand welcome in cities like Dallas, the film could not achieve the $1 million mark in the second weekend.
It has added another 250k dollar in three days. The film needs another 50k dollar to cross $1 million. It will achieve this milestone later this week.
