NTR, Mohan Lal starrer Janatha Garage has done exceptional business at the box office despite its average content.
Hype and promotions helped the film to make the most of the vacuum at the ticket window. It has finished at the third place in the list of all time biggest earning Telugu films.
Janatha Garage also completed fifty days run in select centers. It ran for 50 days in 39 centers across the Telugu states. It will be replaced by Ism in many of those theaters tomorrow.
Although Janatha Garage has set the record for the highest grossing Telugu movie of the year, it failed to beat the fifty day centers record of Sarrainodu.
Allu Arjun’s mass masala entertainer completed fifty days run in 116 centers, which is the highest in this year.
Sarrainodu did enjoy an extended run as other summer biggies failed to reach expectations. It could run in so many theaters because the film was released either by Geetha Film distributors or their close associates in most of the areas.
