Box office: Kabir Singh nears Rs 70 cr after three days

Kabir Singh has grossed around 25.50 crore nett apprx on Sunday for a huge weekend of around 68 crore nett.

The Sunday figures may well be the best of the year as Bharat had business in the same range and if the final figures of Kabir Singh could turn out to be the top Sunday of the year.

Given how the film has performed in the first weekend, it will have a good hold on Monday as well. Of course, there will be the usual decline in business, but it will not be big enough to affect its overall performance.

Even if the film remains low during weekdays, it has good chance to score in the next two weekends. Until July 12, when the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 will arrive in cinemas, the film has practically no major competition.

Kabir Singh, an official remake of the 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also helmed the original.

At the center of the story is an alcoholic surgeon who chooses the path of self-destruction after his girlfriend is forced to marry someone else.

A joint production venture between Cine1 Studios and T-Series, Kabir Singh hit the screens on June 21.
