Vamshi Reddy appointed as president for TTA

Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA)’s January 2023 Board meeting in Las Vegas.

Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA), the first national Telangana organization, met at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas , Saturday, January 21st, for their in-person board meeting.

The opening message was given by founder Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy. He shared his comments with fellow AC, outgoing EC, and BODs. Dr. Pailla applauded the current outgoing President, Dr. Mohan Reddy Patlolla, for his excellent service and flawless wonderful TTA mega convention-2022 held in New Jersey.

He added that the coordination among the Executive Committee and Board members set an example for the upcoming President. Dr.Pailla mentioned the passion and competition of aspirants for the new TTA Board and executive committee 2023-2024.

TTA advisory Council chair Dr. Vijaypal Reddy echoed Malla Reddy and applauded the entire TTA team activities in his term as Advisory chair. He specially thanked everyone for their extended support in running the organization smoothly.

New Advisory Council Chair Dr.Haranath Policherla and Co-chair Dr. Mohan Reddy Patlolla was given the oath by out going chair Dr.vijaypal Reddy. Dr.Policherla inspired everyone with his speech. He explained how TTA loan was repaid with his initiatives. Thankyou check was presented to Dr. Malla Reddy Pailla.

Later, Dr. Mohan Reddy Patlolla, in his outgoing presidential remarks, sincerely thanked the Executive committee for their support in every decision of his action and requested everyone to support incoming President Mr.Vamshi Reddy.

Later 29 nominated BODs and President Vamshi Reddy took the oath from Advisory Chair Dr  Haranath Policherla. Mr. Vamshi Reddy’s swearing in ceremony was a feast for more than three hundred supporters who flew from Seattle and all other parts of the USA.

New President gave his journey in TTA from the inception as an RVP to President. He admired the advisory council for supporting him in becoming the President. He intends to do the best convention and improve the TTA activities with Excellent and unique ideas like Bonalu, Seva days, etc. Mr. Vamshi Reddy, TTA President, conveyed his remarks to the board and thanked everyone for their support in the activities of TTA.

After the break, 29 nominated Board of Directors contested for eight positions in the Executive committee. Elections were conducted and following results were announced by Election committee chair Dr.Haranath Policherla.

- Kavitha Reddy -General Secretary,
- Sahodhar Peddireddy-Treasurer,
- Divakar Jandhyam as Executive Director,
- Shiva Reddy Kolla- Jt. Secretary,
- Manohar Bodke- Jt. Treasurer,
- Pradeep Mettu-National Co-ordinator, and
- Prasad Kunarapu-International Vice President.

- Media and Communication Director - Nishanth Sirikonda
- Membership Director - Amith Reddy Surakanti
- Financial Advisor - Pavan Rava

The newly elected Executive Committee took the oath performed by AC Chair Dr.Haranath Policherla.

That afternoon Board meeting was graced by the presence of Ro Khanna US Congress man, who presented US Presidential Awards to the following awardees - Dr.Haranath Policherla, Srinivas Manapragada, Dr.Vijayapal Reddy, Mohan Reddy Patalolla, Bharat Reddy Madadi - Advisor EC, Rama Vanama for Lifetime Achievement. Vamshi Reddy for Gold , Suresh Reddy for silver Divakar Jandhyam for Bronze awards. This event was coordinated by Srinivas Manapragada.

That evening TTA founder Dr.Pailla Mallareddy sponsored a sumptuous dinner at the Royal Indian palace for the attendees and local community members.
