US To Begin Ruthless Hunt For Fake Green Cards

US To Begin Ruthless Hunt For Fake Green Cards

There has been shock after shock for many Indians staying in the USA. The H-1B visa is already under trouble, and there are strong reports about the possible withdrawal of OPT, though it still requires approvals to pass through. Now, the latest update is about background checks on existing green card holders.

There have been many fake green card holders among Telugu people living in the USA. This is not something new; it has been happening for many years.

Many students who find it difficult to secure jobs under OPT, with the advice of some nefarious consultancies, end up purchasing fake green cards to obtain employment. These fake green cards are used as a temporary arrangement to stay in the USA and work, while attempts to secure an H-1B visa continue in parallel. Once an individual gets an H-1B, they begin living legitimately on that status while hiding the fake green card. This practice has been happening for many years.

To catch hold of these consultancies, authorities are also opened investigations and they found most of them are being operated not from USA but abroad.

However, there are many Telugu employees in different companies in the USA using fake green cards. Therefore, background checks are under planning. How these checks will be conducted and what the exact approach will be is not yet known, but already a few random cases have been reported where fake green card holders were identified through whistleblowers and random checks, and they were detained. Many complaints are being received by ICE regarding this as per an information.

Many Telugu people who are currently on fake green cards believe that if caught, they will simply be deported to India and that there will be no further issues. However, the situation is not that simple. Individuals are being kept in detention centers, and there is no clear timeframe for their release.

The situation appears serious based on current reports and serves as a strong warning to those considering illegal routes. Do not pay consultancies that provide fake green cards, you may end up behind bars, as U.S. authorities are crafting a ruthless plan to track down offenders.
