Mahanetha Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy gaari 66th Jayanthi was celebrated by the NRI YSRCP Committee and YSR followers of America on July 18th, 2015 in Atlanta.
The event was graced by the presence of Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, Korumutla Srinivasulu, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, Adimulapu Suresh, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Chelamalasetty Sunil, Ramireddy Prathap Reddy, Gudivada Amarnath, Medapati Venkat, Srinivas Kalabanda, and Yadam Balaji.
The celebrations started with leaders paying homage to Dr. YSR by lighting jyothi and offering floral tributes.
The evening began with mesmerizing renderings by classical singer Padmasri Srimathi Shoba Raju and shared her own interaction with late Dr, YSR.
YSRCP USA Convener, Gurava Reddy welcomed the gathering and honorary guests. The gathered YSR followers observed silence in remembrance of the victims of Godavari Pushkaralau.
The leaders, in their address to the gathering of over 600 recollected their memories of working with Dr. YSR and enthralled the crowd with stories of how they were inspired with his great leadership.
The speakers spoke eloquently about how Dr. YSR bettered the lives of the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with programs like Arogyasri, Fee reimbursement, free power, Pavala vaddi to empower women, etc. and emphasized on the need to support YSRCP and YS Jaganmohan Reddy to continue the legacy and vision of Dr. YSR for the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The crowd was enthused by the recollections of Dr. YSR.
The event concluded with the organizers thanking all the people involved in making it a gran success.
