T.A.T.A second board meeting held in Las Vegas

Carrying its legacy of doing good to the Telangana community and to people across the globe, Telangana American Telugu Association conducted its second board meeting in Las Vegas.

The meeting saw people converging from all walks of life and attending with much enthusiasm. The prime agenda was clearly laid - welfare programs for the newly born state of Telangana!

Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy, Chair - Advisory Council welcomed people from across North America and felt happy to see over 120 people attending the meeting with passion.

He outlined the objectives of the organization and requested all to think of how T.A.T.A as an organization can become synonym for welfare and hold the image of T.A.T.A high.

Later Dr. Mohan Patalolla,  Dr. Haranath Policherla, Dr. Vijaypal Reddy from Advisory Council thanked all for attending the meeting despite weather constraints and hoped to see T.A.T.A doing community services that will benefit people in North America and in the state of Telangana.

As the new-year began the organization elected its new board installing 27 board of directors. Spearheading the organization was Jhansi Reddy who was elected as the President unanimously. This welcomed the first woman president which is unheard in the community. Moving with the business the board installed the new Executive Committee.

Later the Executive Committee addressed the group and outlined the activities in the coming 2 years. Reflecting the recent events the group was immensely satisfied having done over 36 events across North America, ranging from Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations, Telangana formation day, meet and greet with Deshapathi Srinivas OSD for Telangana state, raising to the occasion on unfortunate incidents such as accidents, deaths, coordinating with their loved ones.

As the meeting progressed, the Regional Vice-Presidents, Standing Committee Chairs provided their quarterly updates and promised to raise the image of T.A.T.A. Two exclusive forums named 'Yuva Telangana' looking and nourishing the needs of the youth and 'T-Seva' which will look after the community needs and come to the rescue of farmers in Telangana who are in need. The proposal was unanimously accepted and the board vowed to do good.

A proposal was then laid on table for the maiden convention of T.A.T.A, while representatives from multiple cities showed interest to host the first convention, the board decided to constitute an exploratory committee to decide upon the most feasible city for the maiden convention. An exemplary $250,000 was pledged and raised during the board meeting reflecting the promises for the betterment of society.

The meeting ended with president Jhansi Reddy thanking the media, the attendees for participating and showing enthusiasm to do good for the society.
