H-1B Fatigue: Woman Plans Return to India After 15 Years in US

Amid growing resentment in the U.S. tech industry toward H-1B visa holders, one Reddit post has gained attention — not for seeking opportunities in the U.S., but for contemplating a return to India.

The user, a 37-year-old woman who moved to the U.S. in 2010 for higher studies and has since worked as a technology consultant, shared her frustrations with the limitations of the H-1B visa.

“Endless H-1B stamping cycles. Can’t go anywhere, can’t start my own business,” she wrote.

Expressing interest in moving back, she asked if finding a job as a product manager in India or starting a small business there would be a challenge.

“I want to explore what India can offer,” the post said.

Responses in the comments were largely encouraging, with several users sharing similar experiences of returning to India after long stints in the U.S., citing the same visa-related frustrations.
