Telugu actress Kalpika Ganesh filed a police complaint agianst the staff at Prism Pub in Hyderabad after a heated argument over a birthday cake.
The trouble began when Kalpika asked why the club did not offer a complimentary cake, which she said other clubs usually provide.
The staff accused her of creating a disturbance, and she refused to pay the bill, crumpling and throwing it away.
Kalpika shared a video on Instagram showing her confrontation with the club’s management.
The manager stated that they don’t provide free birthday cakes, while Kalpika argued she had received cakes at other places.
She criticized the pub’s management for poor behavior and later filed a police complaint. Authorities have registered a case, and an investigation is ongoing.
But looking at the video, it looks that the actress helrself is at fault by arguing loudly and harshly over a small issue, though the pub staff’s side of the story is still unknown.
The actual truth will have to be revealed by the police, and what happened afterward remains unclear. Even the social media is blasting her for her attitude.
A netizen addressing the actress commented, "Clear demonstration of logical argument (you are spoiling your own birthday) versus an illogical argument (every day is my birthday) . My condolences and prayers are with your husband/future husband."
Kalpika Ganesh began her acting career in 2009 and has appeared in many Telugu films, including her recent work in Yashoda. The pub has not yet responded to her claims.
