TANA -2011 to be held in New York-New Jersey

Even as the preparations for this year’s TANA conventions to be held at Chicago from 2nd through 4th July’09 are in full swing, it has been decided to hold the next TANA conventions in New Jersey in 2011.

Announcing this to the Media, Regional Vice-President TANA - North Eastern Region, Vasudeva R Chinna said it is a matter of great honor that New Jersey will be playing host to the prestigious TANA conventions. Apparently New Jersey, New York area is home to the largest number of Telugus in the whole of the United States of America.

TANA over the years has served tremendously to the preservation and propagation of Telugu culture and heritage. By virtue of its growing strength and influence from time to time, braving many storms in its journey, TANA has evolved to be the most effective voice of the Non Resident Telugus of America, if not the world. Consequently TANA has strived to draw necessary attention to the issues of Telugus in America and else where.

In the ever changing and challenging scenarios of today’s world, the relevance and responsibilities of an organization of the nature of TANA increases further. Accordingly TANA is making every effort to connect and engage with the younger generations and other communities to foster diversity and harmony.

TANA-2011 at New Jersey/New York will uphold these values and more Vasu said. Efforts will be made to make it the biggest and most successful conventions ever. An estimated 50 thousand Telugus are expected to participate in TANA-2011, besides hordes of American & other foreign dignitaries. The design and execution will match the buoyancy and energy of the New Jersey Telugu Community and will show case the Telugu pride to the world, like never before, Vasu promised.
