Dividing a state involves a technical and legal process. Whatever of such processes that have happened recently like Jharkhand, Chattisgarh have been in order. But that is not the case with Andhra Pradesh. Many are saying the Telangana bill should go to assembly first as per the process.
But that is not happening so they are asking “What is this direct sending to president”. Actually, there is something else we need to know.
Even if it is sent to assembly and the bill gets defeated, its opinion is not taken into consideration. An assembly can only opine but that doesn’t stop the bill from getting introduced in parliament.
For those asking what is this, this is a constitutional dictum written by the intellectuals. The logic is, when an issue arises, if majority people are saying no minority say yes then justice doesn’t happen.
In our case, it is obvious that majority MLAs in AP assembly will say no. Though a minority is demanding Telangana, if injustice is happening then a third person should intervene and do justice. In the current situation, it is the Centre which is given the power.
That’s what constitution has written about. More than justice, it is about providing equal dissatisfaction and thus it becomes a lawful murder. Now, who and how can this lawful murder be protested? This is another big question of truth.
