There was a time when south India was considered the goldmine for Information Technology. Some of the best software companies have huge offices in key cities. Anyways, all that glory seems to be fading with passing time and a new destination is emerging for the IT giants and corporates.
The first place always belonged to Hyderabad but thanks to the Telangana issue everything got messed up. The situation is still fluidish and the politicians can rake it up anytime so the city is no longer a choice for corporates. Next comes Bangalore but it is suffering from power crisis.
Mumbai is saturated and expensive. So, all eyes have now turned to Ahmedabad. It is heard that there is uninterrupted power supply, the city is business oriented and it has always maintained a peaceful atmosphere. There is very good governance and the Narendra Modi factor has been working a lot.
So now, it is heard that many investments are shifting to Ahmedabad and software is one among them. Those who are investing there say it is a very systematic state with nice administration and less corruption. Wonder what the south CMs have to say to this.
