Social Media On Rishi Sunak's Name And Caste

Sometimes, the misspelled names mess up the original meaning and the intended dignity. The newly elected British Prime Minister has been called Rishi Sunak, but many of the Hindu name experts are saying that it should be 'Sounak' but not Sunak.

The name Sunak means 'a dog' in Sanskrit, whereas Sounak means the name of a saint in Hindu mythology. Many discussions are going on in social media forums on the name of the newly elected British Prime Minister.

Some are going to the extent of assuming that his name might have misspelled in the British education records like it happens in India most commonly.

Whereas some are articulating that Sunak is his ancestral family name in Punjab and nothing to do with Rishi Sounak of Hindu mythology.

Keeping this aside, many Indians are eagerly searching for the caste of the newly elected British Prime Minister. In fact he was married to Akshata Murthy who was a Brahmin, whereas the caste of Rishi is not yet known.

Knowing that he is a vegetarian and a teetotaler, many are assuming that he is leading a life of a Brahmin, though the original caste is not revealed to the public.
