A joke was doing rounds among the Satyam Computers employees, after they came to know that Union Ministry of Company Affairs abolished the Satyam board and announced that it was taking over the company.
The employees were joking among themselves that they would now become Central government employees and they can as well stake claim for the government scales under Pay Revision Commission.
Unfortunately, it is not the case. The Centre has only appointed a 10-member committee to oversee the affairs of Satyam for the time being as per the Company Law Board guidelines. That does not mean, the Centre will take over the company forever. But, if that happens, it will be really a good news for the employees!
