Will Satyam Babu, the prime accused in the sensational murder of Ayesha Meera a couple of years ago, go the way of Rama Rao, the serial killer of Rudrakshapalli?
Satyam Babu reportedly escaped from the custody of the police party at Suryapet, while he was being taken from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, after treatment at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, on Saturday morning. He was to be produced in the court at 10am and the final verdict on his alleged involvement in the Ayesha Meera case is just a month away.
Vijayawada police commissioner P S R Anjaneyulu said Satyam Babu had escaped at a dhabha near Suryapet, where the escort party stopped for a cup of tea. He suspended several cops in the escort party. Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy also ordered an inquiry into the incident. But there are many who believe that the escape was just a concocted story by the police, as the NIMS doctors had clearly issued a statement in the afternoon that Satyam Babu cannot walk steadily on his own even for a few steps and therefore, the possibility of he running away from the police was just impossible.
Those who know the style of operations of PSR Anjaneyulu suspect that Satyam might have been subject to encounter and his body might be found later in the day under suspicious circumstances. A few days ago, the body of serial killer Rama Rao was also found in a similar fashion.
According to latest information, Satyam was found to have been caught at Jaggayyapet in Krishna district. No confirmation from the police, but they are capable of doing anything any time!
