Rishi Sunak's Wife Richer Than Queen Elizabeth II

Rishi Sunak is technically a Britisher though from an Indian origin. But his wife Akshata Murthy is from a Hindu orthodox family in India where her father Narayana Murthy is one of the wealthiest men of the world owning the Infosys Company.

Akshata's mother Sudha Murthy is a prolific writer whose works were published many times and also being sold as hot favorites. Her focus has been mainly on bringing in the Hindu mythological stories close to the new generation English readers. She is being called "India's favorite granny".

Sudha Murthy told earlier in an interview how austerely she raised her kids Ashata and Rohan. She never let them enjoy the life of the children of an affluent father. She taught them simplicity and nurtured them up without even television at home as that could potentially disturb their studies.

Narayana Murthy used to spell the name of Sunak differently (though undisclosed, it could be Sounak as that was the name of an ancient Rishi, a revered saint in India) and described him once as "brilliant, handsome, and, most importantly, honest".

Akshata and Rishi met at Stanford University and fell in love and eventually got married in 2009 at a simple wedding ceremony.

Akshata's stake in Infosys is worth around USD 700 Million as per an estimate making her richer than Late Queen Elizabeth II.

Recently, she tweeted, "India remains the country of my birth, citizenship, parents' home and place of domicile. But I love the UK too."

The couple has two daughters named Anoushka and Krishna.

The bottom line is that Rishi Sunak technically happens to be the richest Prime Minister in the history of Britain counting his wife's income as a part of his family income.
