Reddy Caste Mania 2011 Vs Kamma Mania In 1983

History seems to be repeating after 28 years.
The same mania is also repeating after 28 years.
The same caste fanaticism is also shaping up after 28 years.

When NTR started TDP and won triumphantly, all of a sudden the matinee idol has grown up as a God. Subsequently, many men from Kamma community started feeling themselves as monarchs of the state. The caste mania continued for decades together and even now the hard core Kamma fanaticism is seen among many in the state.

Now YS Jagan’s victory is also repeating the same equation. YSR Congress supporters in USA called for success meet two days before the announcement of result. The agenda was to plan the celebration day. And the mania took gigantic shape when victory was announced. The Reddy Community youngsters are feeling that they themselves have become Chief Ministers of the state.

Although there has been a big change in literacy rate from 1983 to 2011, the caste fanaticism and hysteria are one and the same.

Any community will be alienated by rest of all community when the former boasts about its supremacy or identity. It’s not just the present politics but history speaks.

The Brahmin Supremacy over other castes resulted in alienating them centuries ago. Now they will just be regarded for sure for their aptitude as long as they don’t show attitude. Hence Brahmins are proving successful only individually but not collectively, although they did centuries ago forming ‘agraharams’.

The same applies for Kamma and Reddy community those have been showing big impact on socio political scenario of Andhra Pradesh. Right now, Kammas are growing together by synergizing their properties and financial muscle. But they are being alienated by rest of the communities for their thick association with TDP in the degree of chauvinism. Many Kammas spoiled the pride of their community by ill treating other community people with their financial and political supremacy.

Kammas are regarded for their ability to compete with Brahmins in education, with Vysyas in business, with Reddys in politics and every other community in hard work. But they are hated for only one reason- that is undermining others with their arrogant attitude. Kammas themselves say, ‘Vijayawada Kammas are care of address for this’.

Now Reddys are also tending to fall in similar trap. So far no Reddy started a party in the state and won triumphantly against the most powerful Congress. It is happening only with YS Jagan. If he continues his saga in same manner and enthrones the CM chair as youngest CM of AP, then many Reddy youngsters are prone to get into caste hysteria. They should take care in not getting into loop like Kammas. The Reddys from Rayalaseema are no in the verge of getting into the shackles of caste fanaticism where they should take care of themselves with open eyes.

Don’t be hysterical but do something historical.
